Winter of 2011-2012 for Elding Whale Watching Reykjavik, Iceland (www.elding.is) has been incredible. Humpback Whales and Orca pretty much everyday now for the last month. The reason for this is because the herring is more abundant in the winter than in the summer. You don't only get the Icelandic stocks you also get the Norwegian Stocks which are only around Iceland in the winter. This increase in herring has brought all the whales with it. Below are some of the pictures i've taken over the last few weeks of the Orca.
